Pathways to Relationships
    Frequently Asked Questions

Your heart already knows. You simply have to listen.

How do I know if Joanne may be the right coach for me?

    That's a wonderful question.

As you spend time on this website, notice how you feel.

    • Do you feel seen?
    • Does my way of communicating feel loving, honest, and supportive?
    • Can you imagine feeling comfortable enough to tell me what is really happening in your life and relationship?

Perhaps something within you simply feels curious.

You don't need absolute certainty before reaching out. Sometimes a conversation is the easiest way to discover whether working together feels right for both of us.

Will you tell me whether I should stay or leave my relationship?

    No.

I understand why you might want someone to give you the answer, especially when you feel confused, exhausted, afraid, or unable to trust yourself.

But I don't believe the most loving thing I can do is make such a deeply personal decision for you.

Together, we can explore what you feel, what you need, what you fear, what you desire, and what may be keeping you from hearing yourself clearly.

We can look honestly at your relationship and the possibilities available to you. The decision always remains yours.

Do I need to be ready to leave my relationship?

    Absolutely not.

Perhaps you want to stay and create a healthier, more loving relationship.

    Maybe you're considering leaving.

You might love your partner deeply and still wonder whether the relationship is right for you.

Or perhaps you simply know that something needs to feel different.

We begin exactly where you are.

Can you help me improve the relationship I already have?

There may be many things we can explore together.

Perhaps you want to understand your needs more clearly, communicate differently, recognize familiar patterns, create healthier boundaries, or reconnect with yourself.

As your relationship with yourself changes, the way you participate in your other relationships can change too.

At the same time, a healthy relationship involves the choices and participation of both people. You are responsible for your choices. Your partner is responsible for theirs.

Does my partner need to participate?

    No.

My primary work is individually with women.

There is so much you can discover by beginning with yourself.

As you become clearer about what you feel, need, want, and choose, you may begin seeing your relationship and the possibilities within it differently.

Is this couples counseling or therapy?

    No.

I am a Certified Life Coach and Lifetime Spiritual Practitioner.

My work is coaching focused on helping you reconnect with yourself, explore what you are experiencing in your relationship and life, deepen self-love and self-trust, and discover what feels right for you.

Coaching is not psychotherapy, couples counseling, medical care, legal advice, or crisis intervention.

What if I have absolutely no idea what I want?

Then we have a beautiful place to begin.

Not knowing doesn't mean there is something wrong with you.

Perhaps there are simply many thoughts, feelings, fears, responsibilities, and possibilities competing for your attention.

Instead of forcing yourself to decide, we can become curious about what is happening within you. Clarity is allowed to unfold gently.

What if my mind and heart are telling me different things?

    That happens.

Your mind may be thinking about history, responsibilities, finances, family, risk, or what could go wrong.

At the same time, your heart may be asking you to notice a feeling, a longing, a desire, or something that simply doesn't feel right.

We don't have to make either one wrong. Instead, we can slow things down enough for you to listen differently and become more deeply connected with what feels true for you.

What if I still love my partner?

You can love someone and still have questions about your relationship.

Love doesn't mean you have to ignore what hurts.

And experiencing pain or uncertainty doesn't necessarily mean your love has disappeared.

There is room to acknowledge all of what you feel without forcing yourself to choose one feeling over another.

What if I feel selfish or guilty for wanting more?

Many women have spent years caring for other people and placing their own wants and needs somewhere near the bottom of the list.

Wanting to feel loved, respected, heard, safe, connected, joyful, or peaceful doesn't make you selfish.

Perhaps your desires are simply offering you information about what matters to you now.

Self-love and love for another person do not have to be opposites.

What if I'm afraid it's too late for me?

Perhaps you've been in your relationship for many years.

Maybe you're thinking about your age, your history, your family, your finances, or choices you made long ago.

It can be easy to look backward and decide that your possibilities are limited by what has already happened.

But your life is happening now.

What if something you once believed was impossible could begin to look like a possibility today?

You don't have to know the entire path or how you're going to get where you want to be. You can begin with what feels important now.

What happens during a coaching session?

    We begin with you.

You might bring a relationship concern, a decision, a conversation, a feeling, a desire, a familiar loop, or simply a dot in your life that is asking for your attention.

I listen. I ask questions. We become curious together.

There may be laughter, tears, quiet moments, unexpected realizations, or an entirely new way of looking at something familiar.

You don't need to perform, have the right answers, or arrive knowing what you want to accomplish. Simply come as you are.

A 75-minute session generally includes approximately 60 minutes of coaching followed by 15 minutes for reflection and integration.

Do I need to prepare for my session?

    No formal preparation is necessary.

If you enjoy journaling, you're welcome to have a journal nearby.

Bring water, get comfortable, and create a space where you can be present for yourself.

    Most importantly, bring you.

Is what I share with you confidential?

I treat what you share with care and respect.

Before we begin coaching, you'll receive information explaining confidentiality, its scope, and any legal or safety-related limitations that may apply.

Do you work with women worldwide?

    Yes.

I work virtually with women worldwide.

Our sessions are online, which allows us to connect wherever you may live.

How often will we meet if I choose a longer coaching journey?

Our usual coaching rhythm is bi-weekly.

There may be times when you would like to pull a session forward. When my schedule allows and additional support feels important, we can explore that possibility.

The rhythm is designed to give you both meaningful support and time between our conversations to experience what is unfolding in your life.

    Is support available between sessions?

    Yes.

Women participating in my longer coaching journeys have access to between-session support.

We'll talk about exactly how that support works and the boundaries around it before we begin so everything feels clear for both of us.

    Do you offer payment plans?

    Yes.

Payment plans are available for longer coaching journeys.

All investments and payments are in U.S. dollars.

What is the best way to begin?

If you're curious about working together, I invite you to begin with a Complimentary Discovery Call of up to 60 minutes.

It gives us an opportunity to meet each other.

You can share what's happening in your life and relationship, ask me questions, and learn more about how I work.

I get to learn about you, too.

Together, we can discover whether working with each other feels like the right fit.

There may also be times when I offer a question, insight, or some coaching during our conversation when it feels supportive.

There's nothing you need to figure out before you come. We'll begin exactly where you are.
